Celebrating Student Internships at Girls Inc. of Central Alabama

At Girls Inc., we inspire girls of all ages. This includes our incredible student interns, who assist Girls Inc. staff and work with program participants in exchange for college credit.

Our interns serve in a variety of capacities, from direct service to administrative support. A day in the life of a Girls Inc. intern can start with creating posts for our social media, and end in a dance party with the girls! Flexible opportunities are currently available in our Crestwood Center, Community Impact Program, and in our administrative office.

The internship is designed to provide an applied learning and fulfilling experience. As an intern, you’ll have endless opportunities to grow. Interns are encouraged to take on a wide range of tasks & responsibilities while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

You’ll also find areas for growth while learning the internal culture of a well-established local nonprofit organization. Each intern is placed with a staff member who guides them through their service. This gives interns the opportunity to learn essential skills such as workplace communication, professional networking, and time management.

Internships are available for both undergrad and graduate students, and are designed to be flexible around busy schedules. Student interns typically work between 5-20 hours each week, which are arranged with our Volunteer Coordinator around class schedules and any other essential obligations.

We’re looking for interns who are dependable, have good judgment, and are committed to maintaining a high quality of work. If this sounds like you, click the button below to submit an application for one of our amazing internships!
